“I lost everything, but I gained something else in return:  A strange guy I’ve fallen in with.  It’s said that ‘birds of a feather…’   I felt that he was a fellow human being, like, he didn’t have any guarantee of living…  and…  That’s right.  I needed something new anyway.”   Hasegawa Taizou

Rules: “sum up your favourite animes/manga with a sentence”

  • Tokyo ghoul: In which going on dates leads to becoming the lead role in a tragedy and not dating at all leads to marriage and making a family.
  • Kuroshitsuji: Thousand year old demon deeply regrets hellish contract he made with his ten year old dinner.
  • Berserk: “Life really likes fucking this one dude in particular” (credit)
  • Shingeki no kyojin: On everyday humanity actually receives a grim reminder that they are most likely fucked up.
  • Ao no Exorcist: Local kid learns he’s adopted because his real dad was religiously forbidden to take care of him and his twin brother.
  • Gintama: The story you wish really had no plot because you’d stop laughing and crying about it so much.
  • Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens: Why make a series about ramen when you can make it about criminals (and one cop) playing baseball together?
