Hello! :3 Your blog is amazing, I love reading your thoughts and I hope you won’t mind answering me on the following point: it’s about the theory of Phi being Sigma and Diana’s daughter. I read the post by @feytaline-loves and your add about K, and while I had initially a few problems with it (because how could Phi even be in the same timeline for example), as I replayed a few parts of VLR and reread the Q&A session it turns out that it’s mentioned twice there might be a way to travel (1/3)

Hey there!

Thank you for your compliments! I’m sorry to be so slow to
answer questions lately – real life wrestled me away from tumblr for a while (though
for a good reason… I should have some really cool news to share soon). For now,
though, let’s talk ZE!

You’re absolutely right, he did mention that twice – here,
when talking about Akane in the chapel, and here, when discussing Brother’s nebulous nature. I’ll throw another piece of
evidence into your ring, too – Clover and Alice suggest that Akane may use some
form of quantum witchery to send them back in time, body and soul.

This is more or less the basis for the “Sigma and Diana’s
daughter” theory. As you suggest, it is already established that physical
time travel is possible – repeatedly – so it isn’t a break from canon to
introduce that element now.

Chekov’s eyebrows are a gun waiting to go off – I can’t
imagine they’d color a white-haired girl’s eyebrows orange for reasons that
have no weight in canon, especially bearing her nebulously defined heritage in
mind. Is Phi related to Sigma? I’m not sure – their names alone leave the question lingering in the air, but I’m not 100% sold – especially since her eye color appears to have shifted back to blue. I’d be floored if she wasn’t related to Diana in some capacity, though.

As for my take personally? I have mixed feelings. ZE has a
specific system of ‘time travel’ already established in canon, front and center. Even if
there are nudges that whole-body time travel exists in-universe, it feels odd
to introduce that as a primary story element three games into a trilogy. Of
course, this is the series that escalated from saving one girl to saving
god-knows-how-many entire realities, so it’s not as though Uchikoshi is
hesitant to up the ante when he sees fit.

Are you ready to tumble into his bag of tricks? Just a bit over a week to go now! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
