Hi! Thank you for your answer about the Breaker and I am happy you are enjoying it a second time :) Yeah, I pretty much appreciated Hyuk because of the reasons you listed and I remember feeling sad about him in NW because without spoilering too much I got the feeling that while Shiwoon kept growing and creating new bonds in the Murim world with other young characters he keeps being lonely and being reguarded with suspect by other characters despite not having ill intentions :)

Hey again Anon! And omg, you have no idea how much I’m enjoying my second reread of part 1 (I’m on vol 8) ! xD

Like, I don’t remember if I had understood what was really going on the first time (with all the different affiliations and organizations, the plan with Sosul + with the fact that we only have the point of view of Chunwoo when it comes to the Martial Arts Alliances), but I sure am enjoying it now!

I love Hyuk tho’ and he’s killing me, because initially he’s just like everyone else, like “omg Nine Arts Dragon!!” however, after fighting against Shiwoon, it’s like no one else exists to him xDDD

And that’s only, like, 10% of the time Hyuk thinks about Shiwoon xDD I had forgotten about that as well to be honest, haha! Ah, he’s really an amazing character. :)))

I’m glad he’s still around in NW, even if he’s still not treated as he should be. :/ Maybe this might change with part 3 though, after all he’s an important character!

Thanks for passing by Anon and have a nice weekend!

The Breaker New Waves is so epic nowadays I’m speechless… Shioon has grown so much, physically and mentally. Just wow.

Can you believe this young boy:

Became this young man;

Haha this kind of transformed into a Shioon appreciation post ^-^ Anyway love him. Now I’m feeling nostalgic, i’ll probably restart The Breaker from the beginning…

Hi! I read both the Breaker and a good part of the Breaker NW even if some time has passed so I don’t remember it very well (I can’t remember names at all). I remember I liked it though, but I preferred the first part mainly because there were less characters each one with his role while NW introduces others and is mainly on the MC’s development (even if the key characters of the first series are still important in-universe). The feeling I remember about it was some kind of detour. We see cont.

Hey Anon! And how nice of you to send some thoughts about The Breaker, thank you! ^3^

I think I discovered this series back in 2013 or 2014 and I really liked the first part as well, but I wasn’t so sure about New Waves because initially it seemed that only the protagonist (Shi-Woon) had remained out of all the main characters. And I like him, but I liked the whole gang too (Chun-Woo, Alex, So-Sul, Shi-ho) so… I ended up not reading New Waves right away. xD

Yesterday I was nostalgic though, so I went to check what was up with this series and I saw that New Waves actually finished in 2015 + that the two creators are currently taking a break before starting part 3 :)))

Thanks for the summary in any case, because it fits with what I found myself, namely that it focuses on our protagonist (Shi-Woon) becoming the head of So-Sul’s clan. 🙂

Now, since I can’t guess where you stopped reading, I’m not going to spoil you but I got a little curious and I ended up reading quickly how New Waves finished…………………….
……………….And let’s just say that if you liked part 1 like I did, maybe you should resume New Waves and getting ready for part 3 because it ends on one hell of a cliffhanger and a good one at that, for many different reasons! 😀

It totally rekindled my interest for this series and I want to read it all properly from the very beginning, because I probably have forgotten a lot about the characters. If you end up doing so as well, I hope you’ll enjoy it, don’t hesitate to let me know! ^_^

Thanks again for passing by and for your thoughts, I have no idea how popular the Breaker is, it’s not a series I came across thanks to Tumblr, so it really was helpful!

Have a nice day/evening Anon 😀

Aaaaah, it’s been so long, I do visualize Hyuk but I can’t remember what happens exactly xD I’ll see if I can have the time tonight to reread maybe the first two or three volumes of part I since, strangely enough, that’s the part I can remember the best, haha.

I do remember liking his character and his rivalry with Shi-Woon though, especially since he’s not as violent and angry as most of the other characters who ended up attacking Shi-Woon and Chun-Woo.

Aaah, I have so many good memories of part I…!

Thanks again for passing by Anon! Have a nice day/evening :)))
