Well, Urie’s tastes were already off before he went all out against Donato as we could see…

But as Shiba said, now that he broke all his frames, it will probably be hard for me to return to “normal” (as in normal Qs state with a normal and controlled Rc level I suppose).

I’m not sure of what’s going to happen to him though he’s one of the first Qs, which means that what happened to him never happened before and as he said to Saiko…

So depending on the CCG’s actual policy, he might be discarded, unless they decide (like they did with Kaneki/Sasaki) that he could be still be useful as long as he remains in control of his own power (or as long as his subordinates can handle him).

That being said, I think Urie’s fate depends on many things.

First of all, for all we know, he might decide not to go back to the CCG

because he’ll be afraid to be discarded
because something will happen to Mutsuki (since they’re facing Uta and they have big issues) and he won’t want to leave Mutsuki alone.
………. this could go in many different ways (what if he meets with Sasaki and decides to follow him? what if the Washuu secret is revealed and he doesn’t want to stay? what if he realizes Furuta is playing with them? I mean, there are a lot of possibilities)

Second thing, let’s say he wants to go back to the CCG, the CCG’s decision towards Urie’s situation will also depend on many factors:

how they will manage with the aftermath of the current arc since it’s not over yet
for example did they lose too much of their manpower that they can’t afford to lose an investigator like Urie?
there is also the matter of killing actual humans thanks to the Clowns’ scheme, I don’t know how they will be able to deal with this in regards to their public reputation (and so this could also influence keeping or not a “dangerous” investigator like Urie)
Matsuri could also have his own say in Urie’s fate since he’s not exactly human and says he’s in love with Urie

So as you can see, it seems a bit too complicated to theorize about this right now because I’d say anything can happen.
For the moment Saiko is bringing him back with them and she and Hsiao calmed him down so… I guess we will see what happens to our Qs in the next chapters!

I don’t understand why the fandom is so sure about charackters like taki having feelings for akira or urie with mutsuki or touka with kaneki. But with saiko right now people are denying that she has a crush on urie when she literally canonly said she ‘loves him’. I feel like because its kind of surprising and out of nowhere people are trying to brush it off as friendship love? what she said definitely had romantic undertones imo.

Hey Anon! I agree with you, I think it shouldn’t be immediately brushed off as friendship, especially because there were a few hints before that Saiko could have a crush on Urie (namely an omake, from vol 6/7/8 but I can’t seem to find it, where Urie compliments her and she blushes).

The thing is though, I can’t blame others who brush it off as friendship either because seeing this post, the words Saiko used weren’t that explicit in Japanese. xD Besides she also said in ch104…

So, all in all, I agree with the post I linked above, we shall wait and see if there will be more hints for romantic undertones later or if it’s just supposed to be pure affection because Saiko sees him as a friend or as family. We can’t conclude about anything right now in my opinion.

TL;DR the situation goes like this: Hsiao -> Saiko ->(?) Urie -> Mutsuki.

Just to be accurate though, the Saiko/Urie possibility is different from the other pairings you mentioned, because for those pairings there were a lot of different hints over several parts of the story.
So, not to say that Saiko can’t have a crush but it might just be a bit early to conclude she’s in love with Urie with just this chapter. 🙂

First of all, we’ve seen them in ch102

And that’s not exactly the same profile/beard style/haircut + we saw them in ch105…

…Wearing his mask and usual outfit, so personally I’m still thinking that, while Uta went to face Juuzou at the front entrance, Nico went to the other side to face Matsuri. 🙂

Maybe that V dude above (next to Kaiko?) is related to Nico though, and that could why he wasn’t covered by the shadows like the other V guys following Kaiko.

Though if this guy really is related to Nico, then that means Nico is related to V and the Garden, and since I kinda think it’s possible for Itori and Uta to also have a link to the Garden, well, somehow… That’s starting to make a lot of people who might have a tenuous link with the Garden xD

And I don’t mind, but it’s just that for now everyone in the story still speaks of Rize’s escape from the Garden as something strange and not usual, so a few more people escaping V’s iron grip and becoming friends would be… a bit anti-climatic? xD
Unless Rize was just that special, which is possible too, considering that her name is on that weird experiment…

I don’t know anymore to be honest, the only thing that’s certain in this chapter is that Kaiko is going where Kaneki is, so I’ll just wait and see if this dude really is related to Nico or not!

I mean, I really really want to know more about all the Clowns’ backstories (it’s more or less done for Donato, so it leaves Uta, Itori and Nico, and maybe Roma) but at the same time, I’m starting to wonder if that’s normal for all the characters we don’t know much about to potentially be related to the Garden. xD

Honestly, I just want the backstories, so if this guy is indeed related to Nico and can give us some confirmation that we will know more about Nico at some point, well, I’m in for the wild ride. 😀

I totally relate to what you’re saying too! I mean, it’s not often that authors add “details” about their characters’ tastes and dislikes towards things from the ordinary life and that these details really have an influence in their characterization.

Personally, I’m really glad as well that Saiko got an entire chapter just dedicated to her own genius, so that she could shine as much as she deserved to.

Meanwhile: you can see it’s a Valentine’s Day chapter. Hsiao’s crush on Saiko is #confirmed since Hsiao likes people who are naturally great at something. Saiko’s genius lies in kagune-morphing. Remember what Eto had said to Kanae about kagune being limited by one’s imagination? Apparently Saiko doesn’t have this problem at all.

It’s actually unclear whether Saiko loves Urie romantically or not; I would assume she meant it that way, since she referenced men and boobs like a second later. We’ll see.

V’s dialogue at the end is interesting.
