but then considering the obvious fact that Zeke has an agenda that he’s carefully hiding from Marley, I can’t exactly be sure that anyone manages to read through him with complete accuracy.
From simply the perspective between the two different ideologies 3 years ago, one could say that “saving Eren” from Zeke’s point of view could mean trying to have him join Marley’s side, especially since he insists on saying that Grisha brainwashed Eren and that Eren holds two titan powers.
So Pieck could have interpreted that exchange in many ways, especially since I’m thinking that Zeke’s true plan was not yet revealed to anybody. In the latest chapter, this reunion that they had was simply to reassure Marley that Zeke was apparently on their side and so it’s possible that the others now know that Zeke has a different plan but to say that they would understand what it is… Honestly I’m not quite sure.
Zeke is an enigmatic one and if I’m honest, it’s highly possible that the plan that he currently has in mind was not yet in his head 3 years ago, which is why we can’t be sure of what he meant to convey about Eren, no matter if Pieck was there or not.
Zeke and the other warriors share the same fate, so if anything, they’re his allies for sure, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have to be careful and that he has to share everything with them.
One thing at a time, we’ll get there eventually. 🙂
Have a nice day!
Don’t worry Anon, I was a bit late this month because I had things to do so you couldn’t have known. 🙂 And you’re welcome!
Anyway, I read it now xD and I see your point about the shell! Either it is the emblem of the Teiber/Tybur family or it is indeed Marley’s emblem, hard to say at this point, but it could indeed have a symbolic link to the last time we saw Armin. 🙂
And as I told you, the main reason I rather see Marley going to the Island, instead of having everyone coming to Marley, is because the Island is a smaller territory and there are the Titans hiding within the walls to consider, since I’m pretty sure they will have a role to play at some point.
Besides, it’s Marley who wants to erase the Island and not exactly the other way around, since Eren’s side was merely protecting itself the whole time and they had no idea of their situation. If Eren is Mr. Amputee though, then he at least will get to see what the continent is like and maybe he’s not alone. We’ll see 🙂
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Anon and once again, have a nice day!
Hello and I think you misunderstood me Anon.
I am well aware that, seeing what happened to Ymir, Eren was sure to be eaten so that they could recover the titan powers but still, from Pieck’s perspective, since Zeke said he wanted to save Eren 3 years ago and since he is very secretive, I’d say that her interpretation back then wouldn’t have been “wow Zeke has a plan to go against Marley”.
It’s because Zeke is so secretive in the first place that we can only see hints of him having an agenda and all I am saying is that the other warriors might understand that he has a plan right now, but I doubt they would have realized that 3 years ago and, even now, I doubt that they really understand what he’s trying to do.
What Zeke meant by “someday we’ll come back to save [Eren]” was probably lost on Pieck 3 years ago, that’s all I was trying to convey, because it’s only starting to make sense right now with Zeke showing hints of having an agenda.
I hope it makes more sense. Have a nice day. 🙂
Hello! And yes I did, I’m always happy to learn more about Reiner because I always liked the RAB trio, although I still miss our main cast.
Learning more about Zeke having his own agenda was also very nice and so was discovering who the 9th Titan apparently was. This point in particular was very interested to me because…
Between this peculiar Eldian family and what was left of the royal family on the continent (Dina’s sied of the family) makes me wonder what the schism was about in the first place and why Eldians chose to go against the First King and stay, when Asians and Ackermans (who aren’t Eldian) followed him to the Island.
Of course it didn’t go well for the Asians and Ackermans once they apparently opposed to King for erasing the people’s memory but still, I am really interested to know why some stayed and why some who weren’t of Eldian lineage (?) went with him.
It’s still very confusing overall, but I’m eager to learn more about what exactly happened 100 years ago.
And yeah, the Islanders are just amazing, I love them. :)))
I hope it answers your question, please have a nice day Anon!
