  • forces the judge to give the opening statement for no reason other than that he thinks it’s funny
  • constantly laughs at his own stupid jokes, some of which are about his own impending execution
  • jokes about being a convict even after he’s released from prison
  • snaps his handcuffs and threatens everyone with murder just to see their reactions
  • straight up walks out in the middle of a trial because the witness said something stupid and he was tired of the bullshit
  • is japanese and therefore cannot be a weeaboo

i hate inconsistences and exmachinas in stories as much as the next guy but with simon blackquill i just can not get mad about it. they were really just like “let’s put this dude in prison for terrorism and murder but, like, still allow him to prosecute” and literally the only reason was “because convicts still have a job to do and duties to perform”. like what does that even mean. youre under the impression he tried to blow up an entire building of people. also i get that his sister worked at gyaxa but why is this lawyer’s mentor a psychologist at a space centre. who is this man. what is he doing. how does he get away with, like, half of the shit he pulled during dual destinies.

Miles: I am 99% sure the man is not corrupt- though a convicted murderer – unlike every other prosecutor here.

I think this is the longest I’ve worked on a picture, I think I put 18 hours into this overall? It’s also the first time I’ve drawn Kay, Klavier, Franziska and Lang. So apologies for discrepancies. o_o;;;; I also tried to be as accurate as I could with their heights. ENJOY YES HMM.

On Cykesquill (and a couple of others)

I’ve noticed an extraordinary amount of anti in the Cykesquill tag since I started looking into it after playing AA6. The general consensus seems to be that any potential romantic involvement between the two is icky because of the age gap (ten years) and the fact that Simon, who was nineteen at the time, knew Athena when she was nine. This ship has grown on me since AA6, and I wanted to weigh in with my reasons why.
