What if Seiglinde was introduced to be the love interest for OC now that RC is back?

image

…Uwah Anon, hopefully a female character has other roles to play in a story besides being simply another character’s love interest?

So don’t you think you’re being reductive, on top of being ignorant of the actual fact that Lizzie is in love with our!Ciel and not his brother?

In Sieglinde’s case, I believe her intelligence is enough to be certain that she’s important to the plot, the war subplot in particular, without any aspect of her character indicating that she’s being used simply as a love interest?

As for Lizzie, if she were supposed to simply be a loving, dutiful fiancée and to shut up…

then Yana wouldn’t have given her such a development in the first place.

Please Anon, for your sake, try not to be too reductive when it comes to female characters, because you’re missing on a lot of greater aspects of theirs by doing so.

Have a nice day.

You think Sieglinde knowing about the symbol in Ciel’s eye will come into play now? Because the subject was easily pushed away, but it has to be important now, right? If not, what would be the point of her knowing?

thedarkestcrow:

Ohh, that could indeed come in handy now. If Sieglinde sees the twin without an eye patch she could notice that the mark in his eye is missing. And with what our Ciel said to her about not letting anyone in even if it’s him and with what Soma knows about the attack on him and Agni Sieglinde might be able to tell that there are two Ciels.

I’m not sure if she’ll suspect that there’s a contract but since this contract sign is technically the only way to tell the twins apart the knowledge about its existence may indeed be important now.

hitsugikuro:

This may have been noted before but in chapter 114 we see Sullivan’s medical setup, which looks fairly advanced to me.  What’s interesting to me (and something I didn’t really think about at the time) is that she didn’t construct it, herself.  But she does name the person she got it from:

image

And when we see the setup in the Sphere Music Hall, some of the technology looks to be very similar if not on the same par.

It isn’t definitive evidence that they came from the same source because some of it is a bit different.  But it’s close enough that it just feels highly suspicious that the Queen would be able to provide Sullivan something that’s very similarly advanced.  And if the Queen really is behind the arc, then Sullivan won’t be targetted for an attack because she’s obviously an asset to her.  Maybe she was even counting on her to replicate the blood typing method used by the Blue Sect just to see how quickly she could crack it, as an experiment.

Yes, good point!  That would provide an even stronger motive behind it all.  Technology that can be used for war, and possibly for restoring people from the dead or from a near-dead state.

Hi! I am reading different posts you reblogged about how Kuro is historically accurate and how the appearing of modern technology is a plot point or is justified because of Sieglinde and her genius. Now since when there has been modern technology in the series? Also I remember that in the arc in which Soma was introduced television was mentioned. So was that mention an inaccurancy or was it part of a larger pattern I didn’t notice?

Hey Anon 🙂 Sorry but I’m not sure of what you’re asking exactly?

It’s true I talked about anachronism at least once before and I probably reblogged posts on the subject as well, so are you asking for examples of anachronisms in the story?

I personally think there are two types of anachronism so far in Kuro:

  • the ones that are random because Yana didn’t know Kuroshitsuji would be a long serialization back then or

    because she

just wanted it to be funny for the readers

    (mostly the early examples)…

That’s the one you meant about Soma and the television, it’s in ch23 🙂

  • and the anachronisms that are probably part of a bigger pattern:

Be it in the GW arc (linked to the war subplot with Queen Victoria) with radars and panzers (even Seb was impressed)…

Or in the current arc, as we know thanks to Othello…

which are either linked to Sieglinde’s huge intellect (with the new gas in the GW arc or as we could also see with her ideas in the current arc for the Phantom Five) or to supernatural beings as Othello explained twice in the current arc. 🙂

Personally I think that the anachronisms/modern technologies that have been introduced ever since the last arc (radar, panzer, the SULIN, Sieglinde’s inventions in the current arc, Bravat’s strange devices for the blood transfusions) are important and a part of the bigger pattern that you mentioned. 🙂 I spoke slightly more about this subject here in case you haven’t seen that post yet.

Sorry if that doesn’t answer your question though, Anon :/ I hope I understood what you meant…

Have a nice weekend Anon!

I know it was hinted that all the advanced technology used by the sphere music hall was created by Sullivan but I wondered how she did all that, while doing her own investigation on the blood. It’s just unbelievable that she managed to do all that within a span of two weeks! Her intellect just seems beyond that era! It’s fantastical!

Hey Anon!

To be honest, I was surprised as well and initially I thought Seb was the explanation behind all the modern devices…

image

… but I guess she truly is a genius 🙂

About her research on the blood collect though, she was probably done at the same time that the P5 started their gigs…

image

So that’s probably why she had time to spend on imagining new devices to help the P5 conquer the Sphere music hall’s public 😀

I was glad Sieglinde had her own role to play to be honest, but I still feel sad about never witnessing her reaction to the P5 since she likes teasing boys xD

Thanks for passing by Anon, have a nice day! ^_^
