Hello! What do you thing regarding Scarecrow’s actions towards Amon? (And the strong likelihood it’s Hide at this point)

Hey Anon! 🙂

Well….. Hm, honestly I’m not sure of what to think that wasn’t already explained here which is that, considering the fact that Scarecrow seemed to know Amon before he was taken by Aogiri (he called him “Amon-san”)…

I still find more likely for Scarecrow to be Hide rather than for him to be Rio’s (Shikorae’s) brother (which is the other popular theory).
Obviously that doesn’t mean that Scarecrow has to be Hide but I can see this chapter as another hint personally. 🙂

Besides…

This looks like one of those things that the CCG uses to release Rc suppressant gas and Hide could have taken one of those from the CCG since he worked there for a short while so… I like the Scarecrow = Hide possibility! 😀

It’s just too bad Scarecrow couldn’t free Seidou as well though, but Seidou being seen as a success, he was probably watched over more carefully than Amon. Oh well, I’m glad Amon could get away from Aogiri thanks to him and I wonder if the friend(s) he mentioned to Seidou on Rushima was in fact Scarecrow. 😀

I can’t wait to see who’s hiding behing Scarecrow to be honest, it’s really exciting ^_^

I hope it answers your question Anon! Have a nice day 🙂

Can I ask you about your thoughts on the current chapter?

randomthoughtpatterns:

First, we were given a pretty big clue as to Scarecrow’s identity: he knew Amon before his ghoul days, and Amon was either his superior or a person he respected (hence the “-san”).

I’d theorized that Saiko killed her brother (not intentionally) or at least feels responsible for his death, so I’m interested whether we’ll finally get Saiko’s story and if I’m right about this.

I also find it interesting and a nice contrast to Takizawa that Amon has stayed entirely cognizant during his stint at

No Fun Allowed Casa de Aorigi. (also I can not fucking believe Kimi has been working there. Jesus on a pogo stick. Ishida got some explaining to do about this one.)

The last few chapters are giant fights, so I’m mostly chilling and waiting for some more exposition.

What if Ogura is Scarecrow lol

Hey Anon!

Haha and I believe @coromoor already answered you 😉 but anyway, personally, while I wouldn’t reject your funny thought ‘cause you never know with Ishida-sensei, I think Hide is more likely to be Scarecrow at this point ^^ if just because spying on Aogiri and leaving unscathed isn’t something everyone can do…

But there is a chance Scarecrow is on Ogura’s side though, especially since Hide did apparently like his books 🙂

Ah, I guess we will see with the next chapter. Ogura and Hide for Scarecrow are two possibilities to keep in mind 🙂

Thanks for passing by and have a nice day!

Hey Anon!

Well here’s the thing about Scarecrow, I really don’t think they are a new character, not when they’ve been depicted as a spy/rather shady character ever since the auction arc.
So starting from there, it has to be someone we know and out of the whole (alive) cast, only 3 people only appeared in flashbacks ever since the beginning of :Re:

  • Hide
  • Rize
  • Itori

I remember a few months ago when people thought Scarecrow could be Rio (from TG jail) because of the videogame language, however since Shikorae was basically confirmed to be Rio, Scarecrow can’t be Rio.

Also, out of Rize, Hide and Itori, Hide is the most likely candidate as he proved to be a good spy before with more than one trick up his sleeve + Rize is probably still guarded by Yomo and Nishiki (and I don’t see why Itori would be Scarecrow when she’s a Clown).

And you’re right, Saiko is supposedly associated with Scarecrow because of this

and because the rest of the Qs were associated with the other ghouls, but that doesn’t stop Scarecrow from being Hide to me, on the contrary, as Saiko was very close to Haise and the most neutral towards ghouls.

So if Scarecrow = Hide, I think he and Saiko could have a lot of things to tell each other, especially after her fight against Amon. 😉

Anyway, I agree that if Scarecrow is Hide, I don’t get the choice of the videogame language, but I’m not that good at symbolism in the first place, so maybe there is something I don’t see, haha.
In any case, it’s just a theory for now so it’s really okay if it’s not to your tastes. I guess we just have to wait for Ishida’s answer, as always 🙂

Have a nice day Anon!

Scarecrow’s possible identity

chiselian:

Some people seem to wonder who is behind the mask of the so called Scarecrow ghoul,so, here are my thoughts about who it could be and why :^)

(Also a thank you to @inthesweetmadness for the panel of the misterious person and for the convos that led to this !)

[just to add on a few additional points:]

  • one of the most direct possible hints at scarecrow being connected to rio and tg jail is the fact that he speaks through the form of playstation symbols ㅡ tg jail can only be played on a ps vita. also if i remember correctly, tg jail was released right after the auction arc (in which scarecrow first made his appearance), as it transitioned into the rose arc and kijima’s introduction to the story (and ultimately, the transition of tg jail into canon).
    • rio/shikorae also speaks through the use of symbols (alt codes), so that might be another subtle hint at their connection.
  • @chiselian told me about the various endings in the scenario book in which it hints that kijima didn’t actually kill rio’s older brother and instead, kept him in an isolated warehouse. rio goes to the warehouse and although the scene’s description is ambiguous, it hints that there was another presence, alive (movement within the dark). i think this was also the ending that was titled “coffee for two”, where rio ends up having a cup of coffee with an unknown individual (his brother) at the very end.
