Hello Anon! Soooo recap time but Bravat is most likely a normal human…
who was told in advance (by the mastermind behind the blue sect, whoever they are) about both our!Ciel and Sebastian.
That’s how…
he knew about both the contract and Sebastian’s true nature. He wasn’t a true deviner at all, so all that he said to Ciel, Liz and Seb were things he was very probably told to say when he would meet them.
I can’t remember if anyone pointed this out (if so, I forgot to reblog it and I apologize) but Bravat is throwing so much shade at Ciel with just that one sentence: he definitely knows our!Ciel is not the real one since his Lord Sirius is. xDD
Sneaky Yana-sensei, sneaky.
That’s okay tho, Bravat’s going to get proved wrong very soon 😀
still on the matter of ch123 and shade…
I present my very real theory about Lizzie punching Bravat in the face (or just stabbing him with her sword works too), double proving him wrong about using her as a hostage/pawn and not taking her feelings for our!Ciel more seriously.

Hello Anon and I’m sorry, I am not sure I understand your question? Did you mean how Ciel felt when Lizzie ran away in ch117?
If that’s what you meant…
I think his reaction by itself is rather telling, especially since both he and Edward never understood so far why she ran away in the first place. So confusion, definitely (and slight anger towards Seb who knew but said nothing).
Of course, he was also probably worried on top of being confused, as we can see with this scene slightly after…
Just look at the circus arc, when Joker said they were ready to attack the manor, he immediately thought of Lizzie because he’s always slightly worried that something might happen to her due to Lizzie being the Watchdog’s fiancée.
The thing is though, Lizzie probably never was really in danger before, because Ciel is careful but also because she’s strong, which is why this arc is so tiring for Ciel: he doesn’t understand why she’s staying away but he also slowly realized during these few months that it wasn’t a random coincidence, so he’s definitely worried.
To be honest, I was surprised as well and initially I thought Seb was the explanation behind all the modern devices…
… but I guess she truly is a genius 🙂
About her research on the blood collect though, she was probably done at the same time that the P5 started their gigs…
So that’s probably why she had time to spend on imagining new devices to help the P5 conquer the Sphere music hall’s public 😀
I was glad Sieglinde had her own role to play to be honest, but I still feel sad about never witnessing her reaction to the P5 since she likes teasing boys xD
Hello 🙂 And no offense Anon but… this kind of message is kinda why, I think, the vase drama happened in the first place xDD So I’m sorry, but I’ll have to slightly rectify: Ciel was upset because of one thing and that one thing is Lizzie.
Because Bravat said…
And then the mood changed to…
And after Bravat left, Ciel snapped…
before Seb explained quickly why Ciel was angry.
So it is about Lizzie indeed, which is not so surprising when ch120 hinted at the fact that Ciel was worried about her situation. 😉 You could say Ciel was angry at Bravat “winning” of course, but the only thing Bravat won was actually a salt battle, hahahah (he won afterwards when the S4 competed against the P5 though).
More seriously though, about this whole scene, I think the most important is to understand that it was really one thing for Ciel to realize that Bravat knew who he was beforehand…
But what Bravat then said about Lizzie also proved that he knew beforehand who Lizzie was to Ciel as well, which has to be extremely worrying for him because that can basically be interpreted as Lizzie being a hostage (even if he didn’t directly threaten her).
So Ciel’s reaction was… pretty normal actually: after all, no one likes to think that someone you care about is used as a hostage against you. That’s why the vase ended up taking the full blast of Ciel’s anger. x)
I hope that makes more sense Anon! Have a nice day 🙂
Haha, oh Anon! ^_^ It’s okay, people like to go deep sometimes, it can’t be helped. 🙂
As long as everyone understood just why Ciel was worried (and thus angry), honestly that was fine for me, and I was just not interested in joining the debates about whether Seb’s reaction was “appropriate” or not, “meaningful” or not, or if breaking the vase really showed that Ciel is a “problematic” character. xD
I mean, it’s literally written like so:
Bravat, angry
Ciel, smug
Ciel, getting a confirmation that Bravat knew who he and Seb were from the beginning
Bravat mentioning Lizzie out of spite but without threatening her
Ciel realizing that it means Bravat also knew about who Lizzie was before even meeting him
Bravat leaving
Ciel getting angry because it means Lizzie could potentially be a hostage from the very beginning
Ciel not doing well when it comes to managing anger and breaking the vase
Seb being annoyed about the vase but reiterating that Ciel is indeed worried about Lizzie + that their plan is supposed to work in order to bring her back
The end
Aaaand that’s it, that’s the whole scene, so I’m really not going to be debating any further about that vase, hahaha! xD That being said, that’s just me and other people can do what they want 😉
