So this is just something that came to me and I could totally be imaging this but considering yana’s love of symbolism I figured I’d mention it. Does our ciel’s reflection in the ring here look like a funeral portrait to anyone else or is it just me.
Could Lucifer be the statue shown in the last page of chapter 135?
(Not a perfect replica due to different pose, but the overall look is similar enough.)
It’s fitting as he’s a demon who used to be an angel before he was banished to Hell. Our!Ciel was once a nice, sweet kid born in a rich, loving family until he was kidnapped and reduced into a plaything in a cult. The twins’ lives basically fell from Heaven to Hell in an instant.
After our!Ciel condemned God, it was as if the Devil himself smiled and sent a demon to lure him further into the darkness…
In this panel we also see someone’s back and that person looks very much like Vincent Phantomhive. So that probably means that this guy has some connection to Vincent. And since he’s accompanying Sebastian it’s very likely that he’s one of Ciel’s circle of informants.
So, remember the few pictures we saw of the Evil Noblemen back when Vincent was the Watchdog? There was a guy with a very similar (if not the same) cap as the one the photographer is wearing:

I think not. Since the photographer is still very young, he’s probably not the same person as the guy we see with Vincent. But he could very well be his son.
