A year and a half after the end of the Dollars. The new Raira Academy trio were hanging out in the outskirts of Ikebukuro at the antique store Sonohara Hall, now owned by Anri. A person came forth requesting to purchase Saika. Immediately afterwards Sonohara Hall was invaded and thrashed. The news reached Celty, who had meanwhile restarted her courier job for a bizarre commission. When checking on Sonohara Hall out of worry, she encountered people with ties to Saika, Akabayashi at their forefront… Just what is the mysterious presence lurking behind the scenes of the Saika debacle—?
at first glance i didn’t see what people were mentioning but the animators did a really good job at hiding really subtle spoilers in the shadows of the ED
it’s hard to see but you’ll find that it moves independently from the background shadows and it’s a part of mikado’s figure. yeah. it’s one of his guns. holy crap.
Hmm, okay, so I’ll try to do it clearly from what I remember, by using the chat names the way they’re translated in the anime. Also your last question is a spoiler for the last arc, so… make sure you actually want to know before reading my answer. 😉
In s1
– Original members:
Kanra = Izaya, the admin, he knows all the identities
Tanaka Taro = Mikado, knows about Izaya (Kanra) and Kida (Bakyura)
Setton = Celty, knows about Anri (Saika) and about Shinra (whose name is Indoor Scholar in the chatroom, he joins the chat in the novels after being attacked by Adabashi)
– Other members joining during s1:
Saika = Anri, knows about Celty (Setton), Akabayashi (Gaki) and in the novels she also knows about Shinra (Indoor Scholar).
Bakyura = Kida, knows about Izaya (Kanra), Mikado (Tanaka Taro) and Saki (Saki)
In s2
– In the first cour (ep1-12):
Kyo = Kururi
San (also called Mai at one point I believe) = Mairu
– In the second cour (ep 13-24):
Gaki = Akabayashi, knows about Anri (Saika)
Sharo = Sharaku Eijirou, Mairu’s master, knows about the Orihara twins (Kyo and San)
Junsui 100% = Aoba, also knows about the Orihara twins (and maybe about Mikado too, I can’t remember too well)
Saki = Saki (lol), knows about Kida (Bakyura) and so as a result also knows about Mikado (Tanaka Taro) and Izaya (Kanra)
Chrome = Izaya’s other chat name, I don’t think anyone knows Chrome = Kanra/Izaya within the chatroom
Indoor Scholar (novels only for now) = Shinra, he knows about Celty (Setton) and Anri (Saika)
If you remember one of the last ep of s2, Kujiragi Kasane used “Kanra” for one discussion (and Izaya was not happy nyan~) so she knows about Izaya’s identity for sure but she might also know about several others, I wouldn’t be able to tell with certainty.
– In the third cour (ep 25-36), two more characters will join the chat for one brief conversation in the middle of chaos but I won’t reveal their names unless you want to know.
As for your last question… Well, one of the two characters that will join the chatroom in the third cour knows about all the identities and aside from this person… Let’s just say that it takes Izaya’s network of info to know about all those people and that this ability of his might… ahem, run in the family if you see what I mean (should be obvious enough lol).
