My thirst for a Rabbit/Mado/Fueguchi arc parallel in :re is unquenchable. There’s just so many interesting plot points and loose ends that could tie into it:
A conclusion to Hinami’s imprisonment at Cochlea now that her extermination has been set into motion (of course with her escaping and being completely unharmed)
A Mado/Rabbit showdown, whether that be with Touka and/or Ayato (Kirishima sibling tag team, Ishida please) as the Rabbit counterpart
A chance for Akira to get closure on her Father’s death by confronting Rabbit
Getting to see Hinami’s amazing dual kagune again
At the Auction, Akira and Hinami narrowly missed each other. But we did see Hinami’s reaction to hearing of the ‘spine user’ showing up:
Hinami clearly still hasn’t been able to move on from her parent’s death. Encountering Akira’s quinque made out of Papa Fueguchi could lead to some positive character development for Hinami in this respect
And remember who else had a confrontation in the Rabbit arc?
If anyone can change Kaneki’s perspective on the world and put him on the right path, it will be Amon. Floppy incoming?
If both Floppy wearing the Arata armour and the Kirishima’s are present, there’s the chance they could find out the fate of their Father being turned into a quinque
Amon never got closure on Mado’s death either and blamed himself for not being there. It’s likely he still holds a grudge against Rabbit and would like a chance to make amends for not being able to save Mado the first time around
The parallels in :re never work out quite so perfectly but I’m just hoping at least some of these elements are addressed in the upcoming arc!

But there’s more things we need to add to this list now which makes this arc even more of a clusterfuck!!!
Now that it’s confirmed they’re actually trying to break into Cochlea, Arata is most likely in there too which means they could come across him (thanks @lacuna1024 for reminding me of this pain)
Arima has now joined the mix who most likely has Ayato’s Mum as a Quinque
This means Ayato will be in the same vicinity of his ‘Parents’ for the first time since he was a toddler
Ayato went to Banjou for help instead of :re (most likely to keep them out of it) but will Touka and Yomo still show up? Will we have the full Kirishima Family reunion?
WILL WE GET A YOMO VS ARIMA GRUDGE MATCH?
An Ayato and Kaneki rematch was hinted at this chapter so will there be an 103 bones scene part 2 or will Kaneki let them pass to help save Hinami?
Banjou was one of the most loyal of Kaneki’s friends and unless Kaneki immediately switches loyalties (which is doubtful- they gotta draw out the angst first, even if Kaneki is planning to rescue Hinami I feel like he’ll make a show of it), they will be on opposite sides- that is going to be painful
Banjou was the one who orchestrated the Aogiri breakout with Kaneki the first time… and we know how badly that failed
Eto is also there this time which is scary. She’s got a weird rivalry (?) with Arima. She killed Akira’s Mother. She organised Floppy’s ghoulisation and all around ruined his life. She’s basically killed Yoshimura (who is now beyond saving according to Shachi) who is the Father figure to Touka, Yomo, Kaneki, Hinami and even Ayato to some degree. She manipulated Hinami to come into Aogiri which got her in this whole mess in the first place.
Like holy shit, could there be any more possible ways this arc could play out? And that’s just the Cochlea jailbreak side- there’s also the Island which is a whole post in itself.
I’m so excited but so so nervous. This arc is going to be the death of me
oooooh, maybe Shuu will come with the :re folks and we can get a full Team Kaneki reunion.
Also if Amon does shows up, maybe we’ll get to see some Papa Donato moments, which is always a treat.
