Undertaker, ch140:

I am the one who retrieved the Earl (RC) from the fire that day. […] It was quite troublesome though, because several things got in the way.

So apparently, the reason why he couldn’t just arrive a little bit earlier to save both twins from the cult was because something/someone got in his way and prevented him from doing so.

Okay, Undertaker, I’m all ears.

Just tell me the whole story.

in full detail

including your relationship to Claudia.

but please within 2 flashback chapters (at the longest)

I’m gonna wait for the official translation before I make any big posts, but MMMMMMMMM chapter 140 has me real confused.  If UT was there and took Ciel’s body then what was the point of him watching Sebastian’s cinematic record on the Campania?  Why did he let it happen without interfering in the first place?  My mind is spinning rn.

THANK YOU, I thought I was the only one! I’m going to wait too but tbh I’m alkzenbrkjnbrje because if that’s really what happened without additional info, that is 100% plot convenient and uninteresting as f*ck, without mentioning how irrelevant it seems to be with the blood transfusions of the current arc.

I mean, obviously UT having to see Seb’s record during the Campania arc means he arrived after the summoning and contract had already taken place, so I hope he didn’t just randomly arrive on time to save the twin’s body from the fire, because that is lame/bad writing and there are a thousand ways of easily making this plot-relevant.

An example (out of many possible ones): UT investigated during that one month to find the twins and at some point he tailed some reapers who were discussing about a lot of souls to collect, because of a blood bath soon taking place within the cult (because of Seb killing everyone on Ciel’s orders).
That’d be how, not having the death list, he found the place right on time to save the twin’s body.

However getting nothing more than that one panel on the subject would really really be plot convenient bordering on a plot hole, so I hope that after three years of building to this point, Sensei won’t actually disappoint.

About Furuta’s goal

So I was wondering about this:

And I can’t help but wonder if the reason Furuta himself is seeking “super peace” might not be because of how the Washuu family was extremely anti-ghoul, even regarding its own blood.

I mean, you’ve got what Arima said…

what Rize (?) said…

what Kanou said…

Even Arima’s wish was apparently a society primarily made of ghouls, which so far seems to be what “super peace” was described to be, so maybe it’s all about the irony that V wanted to throw back to the main Washuu family’s face (even if only Matsuri remains)?

The Washuu family were ghouls (kakuja from birth even), but at some point within the last 100 years for a reason yet unknown, they tried to become more human, so how about “the inferior bred” (the sunlit garden++) changes the rules and make ghouls at the center of society instead (as some kind of pay back for how badly they were treated)?

That could also explain why the Clowns are helping him:

Just pondering about some stuff :3
