Now that TG is over…

Since it was a special part of my blog schedule, I think it deserves an announcement. And since it’s me, well, it can only be slightly long. xDD

First of all, I’ll consider the series officially over by July 19th, which is the release of the very last volume and eventual bonus pages, concluding the series.
By that time as well, I’ll delete the TG section from my theory recap page: all the posts will obviously remain on my blog but you’ll need to browse through the series’ tags to find them!

After that, I don’t intend to replace TG by another series when it comes to the schedule I was going with: I will keep on posting about all the series I posted about before, it’s just that, with TG now over, it will leave me more time to focus on the others besides Kuroshitsuji.

I am also very probably not going to watch the anime in October since I didn’t watch the first cour, but I’ll be happy to see y’all on my dash again anyway! :3

For the little history, I got in TG when the very first anime and ch120 of the first part weren’t even released, when THS that was the main translating group back then was barely catching up with the Aogiri arc, when we were less than ten in the tags maybe. xD Overall, it’s been a long journey and I came to interact with great people thanks to it. :3 That’s why…

  • I’m wishing all of you guys the best; hopefully I may still find some of you in other fandoms we (will) have in common
    • I tend to have a good memory so, unless you change your username, I should remember you. I most certainly won’t change my username tho’ so dropping a message to say hi willl always make me happy (someone recently tried it after 4 years actually :)).

  • and, of course, I’m also wishing the best to Ishida-sensei!
    • He gave us his all, even though he may not have reached the ending he would have wanted initially, but I hope I’ll be able one day to read another work of his and to have as much fun as I had with TG!

TG is not the first series I follow closely that ends up more quickly than I would have expected it to, so believe me when I say it’s possible to move on and still look back on the series for all the reasons you enjoyed it in the first place.

A series ending always was the best opportunity to launch into another for me: as I’m busy this year it won’t be the case this time, especially since I have other (mainly monthly) series to keep me busy with, but I highly recommend it to anyone who’d understandably be sad about missing getting updates within the next weeks. :3

There are plenty of enjoyable titles out there. They won’t be anything like TG, but as far as I’m concerned, it’s actually a great thing. Each series I love is unique in its own way and that’s why I love them as much as I do, so I wouldn’t want to draw comparisons by reading two series way too similar.

To start with, I highly recommend all the series I’m up to date with or that I ever blogged/reblogged about and it’s not because I didn’t write about them as much as I did with TG that they’re less good. No way.

However if you wish to ask what I’d recommend more specifically for you, you’ll have to tell me what you loved exactly about TG first, so that I can try to find something suitable.

So there you go! Again, wishing you all the best you guys…

It’s been a pleasure to see TG coming to an end with all of you. Take good care of yourself! ❤ ❤ ❤

Undertaker: I have never done anything wrong in my life ever

the whole Phantomhive family + Tanaka: *witnessing UT’s many attemps at bringing back their dead family members, without mentioning the thousand of people who died because of these experiments*

How to sum up UT’s character

Undertaker: I love–
Sebastian: Yes, you love the Phantomhive family, we know, you love them so much, they’re the light of your life, you love them so much, you just love them, we KNOW, you love them you fucking love the Phantomhive family ok we know, we get it, YOU LOVE THEM. WE GET IT.
real!Ciel: the demon servant is right tho’.
Our!Ciel: ?????

One thing I’m not sure about. I’m a big fan of RCMT, but has UT looked through all of RC’s memories? If he did watch, is it possible he overlooked that bit? Maybe he respected the twins right to privacy. (Seb called the other reapers peeping toms I think) or… does he not care that the twin had a hand in Vinny’s death? Maybe he blames the true mastermind?(Or plot convenience lol) I’m split. Everything just seems to support RCMT more and more! But that part!D: yana explain pls.

dorkshadows:

Yeah, that’s what confuses me too! I feel like there are lots of hints toward the RCMT and they’re still building, but even it does happen, I think we can be sure that RC wasn’t the one behind absolutely everything. It’s most likely he was manipulated into “hurting” his parents, and had no control over what followed.

Now, onto UT and the RCMT, I think if it happened, UT just didn’t care. He’s a Phantomhive apologist so he’d probably blame whoever gave RC the idea, and since Vincent’s dead and burnt, he doesn’t see the use in begrudging RC. His morals are extremely skewed, and he clearly doesn’t care how this will affect OC emotionally. So even if RC had a hand in patricide, UT still regards him as “family” and will do anything to bring him back to life just because he has a Phantomhive body on hand.

Besides, the CR would show much RC cares for OC (unless that plot point also changes), and since the twins are alive while Vincent’s dead, UT would think the pros outweigh the cons.

Other theory is plot convenience XD Maybe for some bizarre reason, he really didn’t look at the records at all. Or edited that part out. Anything goes at this point!

Yana’s comment on ‘our Ciel’™

“Lately, I am frequently asked the question “How do you call the ‘Ciel’ who is Sebastian’s master?”. I call him just “Ciel” or “the one with the eyepatch” ( ˙ ꒳ ˙ )

It seems the English-speaking readers call the Ciel with the eyepatch “Our Ciel”. That’s kind of cute. –Toboso

“Someone once wrote in a fan letter “the ‘Ciel’ with the bad personality”, and I was seriously like “W-which one!?” lol
He recently was exposed and now finds himself in trouble, but until vol.25 the one with the eyepatch has been getting away with murder

[and has done a lot of bad things] together with his demon, from arson to a meat pie with laxatives…. He is quite a crook. An Aristocrat of Evil. –Toboso

Some characters got super-happy endings, and others did not.

But those bittersweet endings still feel…….right on some level. At least in keeping with the theme of how the world simply is. There is tragedy and happiness to be found, and people just have to learn to find peace where they can.

Takizawa and Kuro don’t have happy endings, but I get the sense both achieved some measure of peace. They took their tragedies and broken lives, then devoted them to a greater goal.

Kuro spending her life traveling the world, dealing with hostile ghouls and conflicts. Giving other people the peace she’s never had.

Takizawa was always desperate to become a heroic figure acknowledged and respected by others. Instead, he vanishes from society but becomes a hero that protects Tokyo from the shadows.
